Both Patrick Ewing and Waylon Jennings were outlaws in their own right. Neither of the superstars took to playing by the rules of their industry. Ewing launched his own footwear brand after turning down sponsorships when no other shoe would do, and Waylon stepped away from the studio model popular in Nashville to produce and record albums with his own hand-selected crew of musicians leading to tons of number-one hits.
Both respected greats in their industries, willing to take risks and do it on their own.
The Ewing 33 HI is an exact retro of the 1990 original and features a classic reversible ankle strap that can be worn on the front or back of the shoe and a full-length polyurethane midsole for cushioning. The shoe features a pattern directly inspired by Waylon's famous Fender Telecaster guitar. The tongue has the Flying W, and the back of the shoes say "Waylon" and "Jennings". And a surprise detail just for fans…there are lyrics printed inside the shoe. Sizing is men's, women size down 2 sizes.
